What is MyZone?
MyZone offers accurate tracking of your effort levels through heart-rate monitoring technology. Users earn MEPs, or MyZone Effort Points, for each minute spent in different heart rate zones.
What are MEPs?
Perkville can now integrate with MyZone to award points for MEPs earned during a workout.
Authorizing MyZone and Perkville
The first step is to get authorization from MyZone for Perkville to access your business info. To do so, you'll need to send your Perkville success rep the customer name, facility id(s) and name(s) to enable, e.g. MZUK001 - MYZONE UK.
After the connection is enabled, the you will have the opportunity to review and agree to the terms & conditions in your facility profile at moves.myzone.org. When this is agreed to, Perkville will be notified.
Connecting MyZone to Perkville
To connect MyZone to Perkville to award points for MEPs, a new custom earning activity must be created before the integration can be connected.
To do so, go to your Rewards Program page in Perkville and click on the blue plus icon next to 'Earning Activities'. Select 'Custom'.
Enter the title of the MEPs earned activity, and assign a point value. We recommend assigning a value of 25 MEPs to 1 point. The average MEPs earned during a workout is around 130, which would award 5 points in Perkville.
Note: Points are rounded down. For example, if 15 MEPs earn 1 point, a workout of 49 MEPs would award 3 points.
Next, go to the Integration page from your My Business drop-down.
For the location you would like to integrate, select 'MYZONE' from the dropdown menu, and click 'Connect'.
Enter the location's Facility Code. Each location must have it's own separate code. Click 'Submit'.
You'll be taken to the integration edit page, where you can connect your newly created MEPs earned activity. In the dropdown menu, choose 'MEPs'.
Enter the amount of MEPs you would like to equal 1 Perkville point, and click 'Connect'. The amount entered should match the amount listed in the earning activity.
